Action
Call your Delegate, or the Committee Chair, and urge them to support: HB560, HB963, & HB965, that will provide greater incentives to invest in energy efficiency, making it easier to pursue these low carbon technologies to both grow Virginia’s new economy and address climate change.

These bills have been assigned to Subcommittee 3 in House C & L, but no schedule released yet. To look up the schedule, go here then click on "Agenda". C & L meet every Tuesdays & Thursdays, 30mins after adjournment in the House Committee Room.

Please consider appearing in-person, if you are able, to make a statement in support of these bills!
Comments
HB560 would create the Virginia Energy Efficiency Revolving Fund to provide loans to schools and universities for energy conservation or efficiency projects.

HB963 would require electric and natural gas utilities to meet and report on incremental energy efficiency goals.

HB965 would improve the method that the State utility regulator, the State Corporation Commission, uses to assess electricity and natural gas utility energy efficiency programs.
